"Fire and Ice" contains two plays in one evening: "The Spark That Lights The Fire" by Susanne Crosby and "Visiting Hours" by Andy Crosby.

It was first performed at the Brighthelm Theatre, Brighton: Thursday 22 - Saturday 24 April 2004.

The Spark That Lights The Fire

Nicki and Mark are a young happy couple. Mark is recovering from a knee injury, and as he is a one time author, Nicki encourages him to start writing again to take his mind off things... as Mark gets swept away in the emotion of writing his new thriller, Nicki becomes increasingly worried about him disappearing into his fictional character: a psychotic killer.

Itís crunch time for the Green family and their friends: each of them has a crucial decision to make for their future, for the rest of their lives. The one person that holds them together is Simon: the husband, the father, the best friend, the patient. Because Simon is in hospital. They think he canít hear them. Can he?
