Susanne Crosby

Artistic Director

Susanne is a national award winning playwright and cofounder of CAM Productions. She started writing and performing in school, and has regularly written and performed in East Sussex since 1998.

In addition to CAM, she has performed with Synergy Theatre in Seaford, Seaford Little Theatre, Touchlight Productions in Crawley and East Grinstead, Underground Productions in Eastbourne, and regularly performs with the Southwick Players in Brighton. Her professional portfolio includes directing, acting and voice overs for educational film. She is also a Theatre Critic, most recently writing for the Brighton Argus.

She has written and directed many plays, including the one act play "Pearl": produced and performed by Southwick Players in Brighton in 2012; CAM Productions: "The Spark" in Eastbourne 2013, "Kiss of Doubt" in Hailsham 2011, "Midnight Rain", performed in the Brighton Fringe Festival 2003, and "One of Them", commissioned and performed in Eastbourne for the Golden Jubilee Celebrations in 2002. Her short play "Magpies" won the Royal Project Playwright Competition in March 2010. She is also a published poet.

She also sings with the Girl Band "The Dazzling Divas".

Susanne frequently raises money for different charity organisations, for example: an interactive murder mystery play in Lewes which she wrote, produced and appeared in; through compèring and performing an evening of song in Seaford Little Theatre. She is part of the fundraising and organising team for Friends of Downs View, for Downs View Special School in Brighton for children with disabilities, regularly putting on fundraising events.

Susanne also works as a Psychic Medium and Shamanic Healer in the Brighton area, and also makes her own designer jewellery as well as running jewellery workshops. For further information, see Prettiful for jewellery, and for mediumship and shamanic healing.

Susanne lives in Brighton with her husband Andy and their daughter Mia (born September 2005). Mia has her own blog, which is all about her life living with Rett Syndrome and the lives of those closest to her.
